Background:

Halloween is the number one festive occasion for Fanta. So, in 2022, Fanta created a real haunted mansion full of jump scares. But only a few influencers were invited to experience it. For Halloween 2023, we decided to open its doors to everyone. Virtually.

Idea:

Introducing Fanta Haunted Mansion — a gamified 3D digital experience available on the Coca-Cola app. The users' objective was to explore the virtual mansion, collect Fanta products, and face all the spookiness inside. By doing so, they earned in-app currency, which could later be redeemed for different prizes on the app.

Execution:

We created a mobile-first experience, with an intuitive user interface and no text, including a gyroscope effect and haunting sound design in 3D-environments to fully immerse the user. This allowed close to 100% implementation in 23 countries, increasing our first-party database with no adaptation costs.
